The 2010 "I Care for Eye Care" Calendar
One of the most popular Children's Eye Foundation programs is the "I Care for Eye Care" Calendar, where children around the world submit their vision of eye care. For the last few years, we requested that children submit their artwork, and a calendar was created from those entries. This year, we asked for digital photographs that represent the slogan of the calendar, "It's a Beautiful Thing to See."

Management of the Red Eye

Patients and parents frequently call with the complaint of a red eye, or "pinkeye". It is important to recognize that the term "pink eye" is solely a descriptive term, depicting the engorged conjunctival blood vessels superimposed on the white background provided by the sclera. Our task is to determine the cause of the redness, so that rapid treatment and relief may be accomplished.

Crystal Clear Book
"Crystal Clear" is written by a young girl who shares her experience with getting glasses, wearing a patch and having eye muscle surgery. She communicates her experience with wise words beyond her years and drew delightful illustrations. This book is helpful for children and their parents in understanding strabismus and amblyopia.
