Collaborating With Business Leaders for a Good Cause

On October 11th, more than 30 employees of VHA and Novation leant their brainpower to the Children's Eye Foundation to help with program development and expansion. After learning about the Children's Eye Foundation and its See by Three program currently underway in Fort Worth, the volunteers brainstormed about how See by Three might be improved and potentially expanded to Dallas.

Thomas Rogers, Children's Eye Foundation executive director says, "The Children's Eye Foundation is very thankful to have the opportunity to participate in VHA Community Day and has benefitted greately from the business expertise shared by VHA and Novation employees. We are grateful that VHA, Novation and Provista have demonstrated their sustained commitment to service by supporting employee volunteerism in their community."

This skills-based volunteering effort was a first for the longstanding VHA Community Day, which has donated over 30,000 volunteer hours since 2000.
