CEF Art Contest/Calendar Project and Eye Care for Kids Fund

View a list of Art Contest Winners by clicking here.

One of the most popular Children’s Eye Foundation projects is the I Care for Eye Care International Art Contest, where children around the world are asked to draw their vision of eye care.  We have received thousands of entries from which an annual calendar and set of note cards have been produced.  Proceeds from these sales are placed into the CEF’s Eye Care for Kids Fund, used to help find and assist children in need of eye care.  The CEF is grateful to Alcon Laboratories for its sponsorship of the art contest/calendar project.

The new 2007 calendars are hot off the press and available for purchase.  Each month features the winning artwork from one of our contest winners as well as useful eye care information.  The calendars are not only colorful, but functional, with plenty of space to write your daily reminders.  They are perfect for both home and office and make excellent holiday gifts.

CEF note cards are packaged in sets of ten.  Each card depicts a different winning drawing from our art contest on the outside and is blank on the inside.  They are truly eye-catching and ideal for both personal and professional correspondence.

Both the calendars and note cards are reasonably priced at just $10 (plus shipping).  Because the proceeds from calendar and note card sales go toward the aid of children in need of eye care, you are not only purchasing something special, but helping others as well.  You may order your calendar or note cards online by downloading an order form and sending your payment by check or mail.

Of course, we can't produce a calendar or note cards without our young artists' handiwork, so the CEF is pleased to announce its new art contest. View our new flyer. Therefore, we are now asking for children preschool through sixth grade, within the US and abroad, to send us their pictures relating to eyes or eye care on 8 ½ X 11 inch white paper.  Artwork will be accepted now through February 28, 2007.  Regional winners will be displayed at our AAPOS annual meeting in Seattle, April 11-15, 2007, where members and guests will be asked to vote for their favorite drawings.  Twenty-four winners will be chosen to grace our 2008 and 2009 calendars.  As usual, there will be great prizes for both regional and calendar winners. All artwork should be sent to:
