We had so much fun in Nashville!! – Children's Eye Foundation of AAPOS

We had so much fun in Nashville!!

The Children’s Eye Foundation had a great time at the 2017 Annual AAPOS Meeting in Nashville!

Our Silent Auction at the Opening Reception was a fun night full of blinky rings!  Congrats to all who won the incredible items and a sincere thank you to those who contributed.  And on Monday evening a sell-out crowd brought their cowboy boots and gathered at the Country Music Hall of Fame to celebrate this year’s Parks Medal recipients. Both events helped us raise almost $40,000 to fund CEF programs that support AAPOS directed programs, such as the Miller Travel Grant Program and the Screen Eyes Early pediatrician and public awareness education program.

We are grateful for the enthusiasm and strong show of support from all who attended, as well as from our generous sponsors and dedicated volunteers.

Check out our photos and view the 2017 Parks Reception Program, a tribute to 2017 honorees, Drs. Al Sommer and Ed Wilson.

If you missed the party and the auction, you can still contribute to our efforts to eliminate preventable blindness in children. Donate today to Children’s Eye Foundation.

Join us again next year at the AAPOS Meeting in Washington, DC for the 2018 Silent Auction and Parks Reception to benefit CEF – watch for details next November.
